So good! I recommend for at least 14 and up though.

This book was so good! It was a perfect mix of greek mythology and modern day NYC. It has some language so be careful if you are not comfortable with that. It was funny and made you want to keep reading every chapter.

Percy Jackson but for teens

So first thought going into this book is that it was like Percy Jackson but more adult. This book is mainly for older teens because of graphic violence and explicit language. I bought it because it reminded me of my favorite series(Percy Jackson, duh) and I was really surprised by how graphic it was. For reference, Percy Jackson has violence, but it's definitely not as descriptive as this.

AMAZING but some issues....

This book uses A LOT of profanity, at least 2 cuss words every chapter... it includes words like s**t d**n, and it quite frequently uses bi**h and it the second to last chapter it uses the f- word as she tells wrath to f**k himself other than that one chapter it uses f*cking instead of the actual word... it only uses f*cking in one chapter with the reveler or the false Dionysus, but he uses in every sentence he says... Athena is quite violent as she snaps the revelers neck and it makes "a loud popping sound" when lore and castor kiss it is very (er how do i put this..?) explained and it definitely make kids VERY uncomfy. her and castor only kiss 3 times in the whole book.miles and van kiss, yes they are both boys but miles only does it because they were going on a mission they might not come back from... it really isn't a big part of the book it's more matter - of - factheartkeeper gets "cut and shreadded" in front of his daughter... Lore's family get BRUTALLY murdered and the whole book is about avenging them.yes, this is an ADULT book it is pretty graphic, and i think it would scare younger kids...other than all of that crap this is the best book i've ever read it has so many plot twist and by the time you're done with it you WILL want to read it again. Her and castors forbidden romance is amazing and it has so much sarcasm in it you feel like they're real people, as you get to know the charaters you will want van and miles, and lore and castor to get together this book kept me up far to many nights and i enjoyed it so much! for my anime lovers, it's a clash of aot, mha, and blood of zeus, all mixed up in one amazing pot. for my non anime lovers :( it's like hunger games, arrow, percy jackson, legend of monkey, and squid game.all mixed up into an amazing pot...the ONLY reason i wouldn't let a kid read this is because of the violence and profanity,ya'll the language is BAD even if you don't mind swearing the language it not approite for kids... they call each other b***hes VERY frequently... (when i say frequently i mean every chapter) she tell wrath to f**k himself after she (graphicly) cut his arm off. and then she stabs athena through the heart and kills her... this is not a book for kids and that's the truth so kids reading this DONT READ IT NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU WANT TO I'm sorry this review was so long but i really don't want any littles to be scared by this book.

Mature 12 year olds or 14 year olds.

Amazing book! It's a fantastic read. I'd say it's ok for ages 12 and up if your kid is mature for their age. There is some cussing, mentions of rape, sexual trauma, and violence, but there are warnings before every chapter on the webtoon.

I really liked this book. I think fans of the Percy Jackson series and hunger games will love this. It does include some complex things and interesting ideas.

If you have a child who you as a parent think can handle this, highly consider letting them try it.

(I read this as an 11 yr old three months ago)Lore is a novel about a competition that takes place on modern day Earth where gods hide among humans. The whole goal of the Agon (competition) is for a family who knows about the gods to kill a god, and gain their powers. Lore is a very complicated novel, with lots of important information about gods, and their families/disputes that can grow complicated for younger audiences.I read this as an 11 year old, but I've read worse, and better. I have a high reading level and Lore sounded good. I'm not scarred for life, but instead I learned lessons on standing up for yourself. There is gore, specifically in the opening scene. It doesn't get much worse after that. Blood is described and in the beginning of the novel Lore sometimes fights to make money. Like in the expert review, mention of torture (children and adult), and Lore has flashbacks to when a powerful god family leader wanted to buy her. His purposes were made clear. The romance is mostly moderate, Lore describes her interest in Castor by thinking about his beauty, and they kiss twice with not detail, but emotion. There is also a side character who is gay, and he shares a short kiss once (I didn't mind this at all, I'm not hom*ophobic and Bracken made it such an easy topic it was beautiful.)There are only a few small curse words scattered thinly.Hope this helps.

Amazing book

This is a great book! It's full of good role models and people. But one thing I will say is that you should only read it if your old enough or really mature for your age, like me.

Good...or greatest?

I really loved this book. It numbers among one of my favorites. The only thing that I would change in it is tone the amount of swearing (and maybe a little bit of the violence?) down. I am also hoping for a second book, maybe?
