You will learn how to apply a business management approach in healthcare facilities, taking into account industry-specific characteristics and practical problems. You will apply analyses to independently gather information about relevant task areas and framework conditions of the healthcare system. The will include analysis of remuneration systems, quality management, controlling, process management, human resource management as well as legal and political influences. As a central competence, you will acquire the strategic perspective needed to achieve an overview of long-term business decisions and their effects.
By choosing three out of a total of 13 elective modules, you will develop an individual profile as an interdisciplinary specialist in healthcare. Admission requirements
You can apply without obligation at any time via our online portal. We will then review your application documents and invite you to a personal interview.
For admission to the Master's program in Healthcare Management, we require the following documents from you:
- Bachelor of Arts or equivalent degree (at least 180 ECTS) plus one year of practical and professional experience
or - Completed vocational training in a related field in the healthcare sector, at least 2 years of work experience and passed aptitude test.
- Proof of German language level B2 (for international applicants)
* According to § 70 of the ThürHG, in defined exceptional cases, applicants can also be admitted who have not completed a first academic degree, but have completed vocational training in a professionally related field and have at least 2 years of professional experience in this field. Due to this regulation, you can gain access to the Master's program via an aptitude test (one-time 200.00 Euro). Please contact us for more information.
Application
If you have the necessary entry requirements, we are already looking forward to your application, which should then include the following documents:
- A curriculum vitae in tabular form with a current passport photo.
- A copy of your identity card (front and back), for foreign students the National Identity Card.
- A copy of your first degree
- Proof of your professional qualification (only for applicants without a first academic degree).
In the selection process, we consider the following criteria in equal measure: academic performance, practical experience and previous professional career, further education and training, and the personal admission interview.
